A major ceremony,
carried out with care.

This was one of the largest traditional Chinese funerals of its kind to take place in the United Kingdom. Conducted across three days, the ceremony brought together an extensive ceremonial setting, ministers, sacred imagery, offerings and a large gathering of mourners.

The photographs show both Taoist and Buddhist elements of the funeral, including prayer, ritual preparation and the carefully constructed altars used to guide and support the family through the farewell.
